HOSPITALITY

This project is a design for Fougasse Boulangerie &
Patisserie at lot 25842 off jalan  kuching , mukim
batu,kuala lumpur

The site currently doesn’t have any bakery, yet it has
many residential and commercial  areas bring the
target audience to the area.

Bakerys are becoming more popular in Malaysia
because itsa health form of fast food, thus perfect
 for busy city life.

Bread has a long history, and many cultures have
their take on how to bake it. Bread is a timeless
food which has beenconsumed for over a thousand
years.

Since Fougasse is a French name I took my
inspiration from French Villages, which gave me
the impression of the perfect place to relax, eat
bread drink tea and enjoy a urban yet colourful
and naturally vibrant city life.

Bread is made by natural wheat which is then
convert to flour. In order to bake bread for the
perfect length of time, traditionally an hourglass
would be used as a timer.

My concept was to apply the appearance of a
natural French village to help Malaysians escape
our busy, unmaintained concrete streets,
and dusty roads, and truly relax. Wheat, the texture
of flour, and the shape of the hourglass also
inspired ideas for my interior.
